How to make money blogging
There are two ways of making money blogging, one more profitable than the other. First of all, small business owners find a great advantage in the use of blogs that provide rich informational content and the opportunity for great marketing promotions. But let’s take a look at how you can turn blogging into a profitable activity. There are two possibilities: you either get paid for allowing other business owners to advertise on your site or you can include the blog in one of the many affiliate programs that enjoy such a popularity on the Internet nowadays.
In case you choose to exploit the advertising potential of your blog, the best program to work with is Google Adsense; you’ll get paid every time an ad on your site gets clicked, regardless of whether this action converts into profit or not. The logical question that may rise here is: how can you get more clicks for the ads on the blog? Don’t think about clicking your own ads to make some more money; fraud clicks are a very hot subject in the business, and Google teams are very efficient at identifying them. Such dishonest practice could cost you dearly if you dare to use it.
You can increase the profitability of the ads on your blog by taking advertising into consideration when you design the site. For instance, the fonts and colors used for the ads should be only slightly different from the rest of the page, without standing out. Why? Because the more visible you make them, the more likely it is that they’ll annoy the user, and the entire purpose of your blog is to get people to spend quality time on the page. Adsense is a program that displays only those ads that are related to the domain the blog tackles with, so that you cannot complain about too large a number of irrelevant visitors.
Last, but not least, you can use the blog as part of an affiliate program, which involves promoting the products or services of a specific business. For instance if you’ve got a blog dealing with diving, you can very well turn into an affiliate for a company that sells diving equipment. The amount of money you are supposed to get is usually part of the individual agreement you sign with the other party, and it usually depends on how well you manage to use the blog to actually convince people to purchase one of the products. Friendly links, special discounts, promotions and e-news letters are all part of an affiliate campaign that could turn a simple blog into a great revenue generator.

Earlier this week I was doing my daily prayers & reading when I heard in the other room the “Dun-Dun-Dah” sound of Windows closing down…I knew something wasn’t good about that…I got up & went to check on it & I saw my computer froze-up on the shutting down screen…I had to completely reboot the computer & then there is was “The Dreaded Blue Screen of Death”…It said if this was the first time I had seen this screen to just reboot…So I did…& there is was again….This time it said to open up in Safe Mode…So I did…& there it was again…Futilely I tried a couple more times but to my dismay…No luck…This was at 2am…I do things pretty early around here…
Well with nothing to do now…I decided to go back to bed…When I woke up at 7am I called my computer guy…He was asleep so I left a message…A couple of hours later he called me back & I told him what had happened…He said it sounded like a hard drive failure…I thought “Oh Crap” It’s been 2 months since I backed up…He told me to bring my Pute by & he would look at it…So I did…Are you seeing the similarities here…
He was out all day on service calls that day…Another night passes with nothing to do…The next day he gets started on it & finds that the boot sector is damaged…How bad he is unsure…He get’s it to boot up with a CD-Rom and is able to save my Desktop & Favorites…I thought with the back-up that would get everything…Boy was I wrong…Then he had to format the whole drive & see if it would rebuild…New installation of Windows & a few maintenance programs later he called me up & told me I could come pick it up…Oh did I mention we went another night with nothing to do…$100 is the damage…My guy really takes care of me…I have been with him for years…
So Now I get home and hook everything up & get started…But wait…Where are my Applications…Incredimail…Twitter friend adding software…Firefox…All of my Emails addresses & bookmarks…I write a Inspirational Poem every morning with God’s help & fortunately they were all there…a couple of years worth…I just started noticing that all sorts of little things were missing…I’m told that traditional backing up is “Old School tactics” & that “cloning is the way to go today…Nobody told me the difference…Now I see…
So I guess what this article is about is that you need to do more than backing up…Email your contacts list to a web-based email account you own so that they will be save there…Check into “Cloning” I know I sure am going to…Take extra precautions to protect you information…I had a password manager & all my passwords were safe…Whew that would have been a mess…Well that’s it for now…Take care…Kenney
Take a Look Inside Yourself
When we’re depressed, usually we feel we aren’t accomplishing much. We may be making an effort, but we have a tendency to give up easily. Unfortunately, after a time we start to doubt we can count on ourselves to do what we say, or we may become reluctant to agree to meet with anyone or promise to do anything because we don’t know how we’ll feel when the time comes. This usually spirals downward because the more often we break a promise or avoid one, the more that seems to prove to us that we aren’t reliable.
So how can we change this? How can we become reliable again, not just to others, but more importantly, prove to ourselves we will do what we intend? Because if we can’t count on ourselves even to go to an appointment, how can we believe we can accomplish our dreams? We can’t. And that would depress anyone. But if instead you practice making promises to yourself and keeping them, you can gradually rebuild confidence in yourself.
For a moment, think of yourself as a juggler, and the things you want to do in a day as the balls you balance. You may not be a very good juggler at the moment, but with practice, you can get better. So let’s say at present you are a two ball juggler. This means in the night or week before you can say, “what two things am I going to do on that day?” and be 90% sure you will get them done. And this would be great because you would know you can count on yourself to do two specific things. You can get anywhere with that. Knowing you can count on yourself is actually more valuable than the things you do or how many of them you can get done. It is the reliability that helps you restore your confidence and dependability and let’s you move forward in the direction you wish to go. Even if you can only do a couple of things a day, but you can count on yourself to do them, you can accomplish much!
So wherever you are at the moment, start seeing if you can make a commitment to what you will do tomorrow, and the next day, and each day this week. Begin small, maybe planning one or two things a day, and accomplish those things for certain. Your goal is to do 90% or better of what you set out to do. Anything else you get done, is extra. That’s wonderful. But don’t neglect those two things. You want to know if you say you’ll call two people, for instance, that you’ll do that. You’ll get it done. Once you have established that you can count on yourself to do two planned things a day, you can try for three a day. But the main thing is if you can count on yourself to do what you set out to do, you can make progress at anything in life. You can prioritize what is important to you, and say no before you take on too much.
Freebie Trading: How to create a sitemap
A sitemap of a website is similar to the table of contents of a book. Sitemaps are important because it guides web surfers to the particular part of the website they have a point of interest in. With it they would save time following links and get right to the point instead.
Sitemaps are also where search engines look at if somebody is looking for a particular keyword or phrase. If you have a site map, you can most likely be searched.
Creating a sitemap, now with software technology surging in, is relatively easier than before. You need not be a programming guru to be one. All need is a notepad, a program editor, and some patience. Here’s how you do it:
Create the listing on a notepad.
It doesn’t necessarily have to be a notepad. Any word processing program will do. First off, make sure to type in all the parts and pieces of your website. Include all pages and all links you have. Create it as if you listing the contents of your book. Make a draft first. You’re sure no to miss something out this way.
Create a new page for your sitemap.
You can insert the sitemap on your website on one of its pages or you can create an entirely different page for it. Using your notepad, incorporate all tags necessary to it to make another webpage. Open up your website creator program and tag your sitemap using it. If you have created your website on your own, this will be easy for you.
Create a link for the sitemap.
You won’t be able to view the sitemap if you won’t put a link for it, of course. Create the link on the front page of your website so that visitors can view it right away and be directed appropriately.
