Tips to Write Better AdWords Ad Copy

Of all the Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising platforms on the net, so far Google Adwords is the most well-known and successful. Writing ad copy that moves people to take positive action is tremendously useful in many advertising mediums, and Google Adwords is just another one of them. So, you’re in luck today because we have three outstanding tips you can use to improve your Adwords ad copy.

Be clear and concise at all times with any ad copy you write. Also just consider the very limited space you have in any PPC ad. You only have 35 characters in the main ad space, and only 25 for the title; and Google considers a space as a character. Never mince any words with your PPC ads; no wasted words; all words must count. How much time will your fabulous ad copy have to convert someone? Oh… 3 seconds, maybe? So, ok, just accept that you have little time and write the best headlines and ads you can. You can test with using your pricing in the ad copy, and so you know that if anyone clicks through, then price should not be an issue. This can be actually a good thing to test because you will be potentially not only increasing your CTR, but people who do click through may be open to your price point. Think about it like this; if a person knows they don’t want to spend on your price, then you will not waste any time on them by having them click on your ad.

Avoid long words with many syllables, and just make sure that each word really counts and must be there. You will notice when you write PPC ads that there’s not much room, and so you need to make every space and every word and letter count for all they have to offer. If you have words that are not important then your ad is automatically at a disadvantage.

If you read about writing good classified ad copy, then you will learn about the importance of including the strongest benefit you can find in your ads. So try making a list of every benefit you can think of, and then choose a group of the best ones to test. You need to offer the benefit that speaks the loudest to your target market. If you’re not sure about the difference between a benefit and a feature, then that is something you need to do some research about. The best way to improve with Adwords, or any PPC, is to learn how to write great classified ads, and then it’s just a matter of experience. It’s not hard at all do write great classified ads (PPC) ads, and you will discover that if you don’t give up.
