Like other diseases, alcohol addiction displays certain signs, symptoms, causes and effects. The earmarks of alcohol addition are cravings for alcohol and withdrawal symptoms when alcohol is not available. When an individual has the disease of alcoholism, they drink until there are negative outcoms and typically they ignore the issues in favor of another drink.
