Over the length of my sobriety, I've grown to appreciate that being sober is a great gift. It is something that I NEVER take for granted. I understand that it is just a hairline from being here (sober) and being drunk. I walk on my toes so that I can stay alert to those subtle things that may take me back out there. I do not want to go back out there. So I've learned to enjoy life and know exactly what my limitation is. I’ve been sober since Nov., 1991.
